This is the story of how I came to be…
My mommy and daddy came to the conclusion back in March or April of this year, that I may be on the way… they weren't certain yet, but they suspected!
My mommy started to feel "not quite herself" (I'm guessing that she was feeling ME!)
By July, it was quite evident that I was going to become a part of mommy and daddy's family, and more than likely before the holidays… calculations had me arriving on Halloween, in fact!
On the evening of July 7th, while at my half sister and brother's house, mommy began to feel bad… to the point, where she decided for her sake, as well as mine, that she should probably go and be looked at by a doctor… my first ride in an ambulance! The following month would hold a lot of scary times for both my mommy and daddy… there were tests, and scans, and times that made my mommy and daddy afraid that I might not be okay…
By October, about the time I was due to be born, the doctors had decided that what they originally thought was wrong with my mommy, probably was not the case at all, and decided that they would let me try and come into the world on my own, instead of taking me early, like they first thought they would have to.
The problem that was now at hand, however, was the fact that I decided that I liked to stretched out… ACROSS my mommy's tummy, instead of head down… the doctor (Dr. Barford, mommy's favorite doctor!) tried four times to turn me the right way… but I outsmarted him every time… oh, sure, I'd LET him turn me, but the minute they had their backs turned, FLIP! Right back the way I had been! ;)
After all of the failed attempts at turning me, as well as induction, they scheduled me to be taken by c-section… the doctor decided that was probably the only way I was going to be able to get out! So, on the morning of Wednesday, November 6th, 2002, at 8.48 a.m., Dr. Barford took me from my mommy's tummy, and showed me that this world really isn't that bad of a place to be!
I was a happy baby from the very start… they thought that I may not be, because of the medicines that my mommy had to take whilst she was carrying me, but once again, just like the turning, I tricked them again… I did fine… all by myself… I didn't even need the medicines to make me feel better after I was born! AND, I was feeling SO good by the time my mommy was able to go home, that I got to go home WITH them! :)
We have been a happy family of three every since… my mommy and daddy both adore me… and the rest of the world that has caught glimpses of my beautiful face all agree… I'm ADORABLE! My sister Savannah, and brother Brandon both agree that I'm pretty darn special… quite possibly the ONLY thing they agree on… *smile* My family thanks God daily for me… my health, and for the health of my mommy too… without Him, I wouldn't be!
